Code R1514-25
This workshop merges traditional oil-based woodblock printing and contemporary watercolor woodblock techniques (mokuhanga). Students discover that it is possible to do both processes for an edition of prints, achieved in stages and sequences, with planning and spontaneity. Our hands-on attitude encourages innovations that achieve and explore the best of both methods. Our creative techniques inspire open-ended, playful experimentation in the print studio for a clean atmosphere and safe environment for support and learning. This workshop keeps the processes alive with possibilities and innovations that subvert and reinvent the color woodblock print.
