Another awesome week at Anderson Ranch! Saturday was our 34th Annual Art Auction, which drew a big crowd of art enthusiasts bidding on live and silent works to benefit the Ranch. We also hosted the Making the Change They Want to See Symposium, curated by Anne Pasternak. A catalyst for stimulating conversation about art and change, the symposium infused this campus with artists and ideas of passion and energy. Faculty this week included many long-time favorites and new bright stars with David Ellsworth in woodturning, Ed Kashi in photo, Andrea and John Gill and Mark Shapiro in ceramics, Ed Kashi and France Scully Osterman in photo, Craig Vandall Stevens in wood, Harmony Hammond and Emilio Perez in painting, Hiroki Morinoue in printmaking and David Kimball Anderson and John Lloyd in sculpture. Children’s workshops were lead by Maggie Stewart and Caroline Hansen.
