GUEST FACULTY LECTURE: HIROKI MORINOUE AND MARK PHARIS

This event is free and open to the public. Guest Faculty Lectures take place in Schermer Meeting Hall.

Hiroki Morinoue began teaching Mokuhanga at Anderson Ranch over 20 years ago. He has traveled to Japan for an intensive artist-in-residence program sponsored by the Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory and attended the 2nd International Mokuhanga Conference 2014 and Satellite Program in Tokyo.

 

Mark Pharis studied ceramics at the University of Minnesota. In the summer of 1973 he set up a pottery studio outside Houston, Minn., where he produced work until 1989. In 1985, he joined the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota as a faculty member. Mark served as the chair of the department from 1998 until 2004 and as Associate Dean from 2005 through 2008.
