Sonya Taylor Moore
DATES: June 8 – 12, 2015
Ages: 4 – 5 / 9am – 12pm
Red! Orange! Yellow! Green! Blue! Purple! Join us as we take a detailed look at the world of color through the eyes of the Masters. Why did Matisse paint with such shocking color? What is the meaning behind Picasso’s Rose and Blue periods? Do youthink Van Gogh used so much yellow paint because it was his favorite? Daily talks about these artists take place while we get our hands dirty with plenty of mixing, blending, and changing of color. We also craft colorful ceramic fish, elaborate feathered 3-D birds and brightly painted rainbows. The week is completed by making a color tree as tall as us from recycled materials.
