Kazaam! Pow! Varoom! This week let’s take a look at famous artists that were a part of the American Pop Art Movement. We discover the dot paintings of Roy Lichenstein, Andy Warhol’s Campbell soup cans, Jim Dine’s hearts, and Claes Oldenburg’s giant cloth sculptures. We take our inspiration from the masters to create our own Pop art pieces that reference modern day popular culture. Students use a variety of different media such as papier-mâché, construction paper, paint, chalk, fabric and more to create bright, bold and beautiful creations.
