Intern Showcase: 8209′

Aug 12 - Aug 24, 2024 10AM-5PM

Photography & New Media Building

Reception: Tuesday, August 13, 5PM-6PM
On View: August 12-24

Anderson Ranch Arts Center is located 8,209 feet above sea level. Artists first arriving often experience a period of discomfort as the body adapts to its new location.

The 2024 Interns Exhibition focuses on altitude as a measure of distance and a metaphor for transformation as we adapt during this transitional period in our lives. 8209’ brings together ideas, culture, and ways of making from our respective locations, and experiences.

Many of the featured artworks will be for sale and 100% of the proceeds go to the artists.
