Tuition $1,345
Code R0202-25
Moving beyond the constraints of the rectangle, shaped plate intaglio has endless possibilities and potential applications that can push printmakers into new directions. In this workshop, students learn to make and utilize the basic studio equipment for shaped plate intaglio: a v-slot, and then etch, cut, and print their own shaped copper plate. The workshop culminates with multiple, finished, original prints and the potential to attach a mounting to the shaped copper plate for display. Additionally, shaped plate drypoint with plastic sheeting, papier colle, and spray paint aquatint are explored.
