Beyond the Surface: Intuitive Approaches to Mixed Media Painting

Lina Puerta

Tuition $1,415
Code D0205-25

In this dynamic mixed-media painting workshop, students explore new possibilities in painting by blending two and three-dimensional elements. With found and repurposed materials at their fingertips, they transform these objects into textured, sculptural surfaces that interact seamlessly with paint. The workshop encourages experimentation, spontaneity, and intuitive exploration while also fostering critical thought around conceptual themes. Students are guided to balance playful creativity with thoughtful decision-making. Topics include material sourcing, prompts for experimentation, aesthetic choices, and integrating materials with paint.
