Abstraction: Telegraph Signals of an Unknown Language
Rubens Ghenov
Tuition $1,415
Code D0307-25
This workshop for intermediate painters focuses on abstraction as an amalgamation of disparate parts of our psychology and philosophy. The instructor provides specific prompts for the creation of a nonobjective image, guiding as we morph a representational substrate until it dissolves into a new, abstract language. We delve into art history to augment our perception of abstraction, and explore the possibilities within our contemporary milieu vis-à-vis the personal and political.
