Additional FAQ’s

Q) Should I exchange currency beforehand for a better rate?

You don’t have to bring local currency (most hotels offer good exchange rates) and most vendors accept American dollars. We recommend you bring small bills.

Q) What immunizations do I need?

  • No immunizations are required for the regions we will visit in Nepal. However, you can refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) websites for their vaccine recommendations. These vaccines are optional, and the choice to receive them is entirely up to you. We encourage you to consult with your doctor or healthcare professional to make an informed decision considering your personal preferences and health history.

Q) Is the water safe to drink?

  • It is recommended to drink bottled (mineral) water while staying in hotels in Nepal. Most hotels offer filtered water, or it can be purchased from local vendors.

Q) What medicines should I bring with me?

  • If you are taking prescription medication, bring an adequate amount with you. Although some medicines are available in Nepal, their supply and quality are not reliable.

Q) Where will we be staying?
